There was just a little something missing to the level design. However, that comparison was not flawless, as the maps were not sprawling enough to 100% justify it. In the past, the Resident Evil games (the classic ones), have been described as being similar-ish to metroidvania games in its level design, with its being sprawling and having unlockable shortcuts. This last part contributed a lot to making me love the police station. It's bigger and spookier, and there is more criss-crossing. It is improved on the original in every imaginable way. One of the reasons I love it so much is the design of the police station. ![]() I have played a lot of it since it came out, and I'm pretty sure when all is said and done, the game will end up in my top five games of all time. ![]() Like a lot of people here, I have been playing Resident Evil 2.
